Gamblers Goaltender Commits to St. Lawrence University

The Green Bay Gamblers announced that goaltender Michael Rotolo has committed to play collegiate hockey at St. Lawrence University following his USHL career.

Rotolo has posted a stellar 8-2-0 record with a 2.58 GAA and .913 SV% during his rookie USHL season. In his first USHL start, he made 33 saves in the 6-2 win vs. Cedar Rapids on December 10th. The 18-year-old native of Rochester, New York then won five consecutive starts from December 31st to January 14th.

Two other current USHL players are also committed to St. Lawrence University – Drew Smolcynski of the Indiana Ice and Eric Sweetman of the Youngstown Phantoms.

St. Lawrence University is located in Canton, New York and is a member of the ECAC. A total of 10 USHL alumni are on the roster this season at the school; Mark Armstrong (Green Bay/Indiana), Rick Carden (Lincoln Stars), Peter Child (Green Bay Gamblers), Jacob Drewiske (Sioux Falls Stampede), Kyle Flanagan (Cedar Rapids RoughRiders), George Hughes (Waterloo Black Hawks), Sean Logue (Indiana Ice), Patrick Raley (Chicago Steel), Chris Martin (Indiana Ice), and Gunnar Hughes (Waterloo Black Hawks).
