Latrell Charleson Added to the Roster

Press Release

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) have added Latrell Charleson to the team's regular roster. Charleson has played three games with the Spruce Kings as an affiliate player from the Valley West Hawks of the BC Major Midget League.

Latrell Charleson is a 6' 4" 220 lbs '95 born defenseman that has a lot of potential and played with poise and confidence with the Spruce Kings.

"Latrell is a big, strong, young defenseman who is ready to make the jump to junior hockey," said Spruce Kings General Manager, Mike Hawes. "I wanted to add another D-man to our roster as we head into the last third of our schedule to give us that extra depth and Latrell is a great fit. He will be a good player for us this season and for many seasons to come."

The Spruce Kings have also reassigned '95 born forward Michael Klonarakis to the Pursuit of Excellence Hockey Academy in Kelowna.

"Michael has been reassigned so that he can get some more playing time," said Hawes. "Michael is a great kid from a great family and it was a pleasure having him here, but more playing time is what he needs right now for his development."

Latrell Charleson is already in Prince George after being called up earlier in the week as an AP for the doubler header games against the Westside Warriors and will now practice all week with the team as they prepare for a big three game set this weekend on the road. The Spruce Kings will face the Chilliwack Chiefs on Friday night, the Penticton Vees on Saturday night and the Vernon Vipers in a Sunday afternoon game.
