The Winterhawks acquired the rights to goaltender Brendan Jensen from the Vancouver Giants in exchange for a sixth round pick in the 2013 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.
Jensen, 18, currently plays for the Spruce Grove Saints of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, where he’s 12-0-3 in 16 games with a goals against average of 2.14 and save percentage of 91.7%. He’s played four games for the Giants this season, going 2-2 with a goals against average of 5.00 and save percentage of 82.3%.
Last season in 30 games with Vancouver, the El Grenada, California native, went 8-13-0-1 with a goals against average of 3.76 and save percentage of 87.5%.
