STAGG® CHILI OFFICIAL SPONSOR OF THE WHL

Press Release

Calgary, AB -- Hormel Foods, the maker of STAGG® Chili, is proud to become an official sponsor of the Western Hockey League and founder of the SAVES for SUCCESS program which provides minor hockey teams with the opportunity to win $3,000.

Teams simply go to StaggChili.ca and submit a photo of teammates showing STAGG® Chili products in a fun and creative way.  After the team photo has been posted on the Saves for Success board, team members, friends and family go on-line to vote for their team.  Winning teams – five in each region (Ontario and Western Canada) – will be awarded $3,000 each to be used to fund team jerseys, ice time costs and other related minor hockey team expenses.

The program aims to contribute up to $30,000 to be used for minor hockey teams at all levels throughout Ontario and Western Canada (Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia).

“We think it is a fitting partnership, STAGG® Chili, the #1 brand of Chili, a favourite winter meal, and hockey, the #1 amateur winter sport in Canada. The SAVES for SUCCESS program allows us to contribute to hockey at the grass roots level in a way that is fun and allows STAGG® Chili to connect with families, communities and the game of hockey” says Larry Raskin.
