Trade Deadline Sees Movement for Cowichan

Press Release

Thursday Jan. 10 was trade deadline day in the BCHL and there was some movement for the Cowichan Capitals.

Keyler Bruce is headed to the Victoria Grizzlies in exchange for Garrett Skrbich and future considerations. Skrbich has 3 goals and 7 assists in 34 games played this year. He is a 19 year old forward, commited to Princeton University.

In a seperate deal, Teal Burns moves to the Alberni Valley Bulldogs for future considerations.

"We appreciate everything that both players have brought to this organization. We were in a position to make some changes that we felt would positively impact our club, both now and in the future, and we took the opportunities presented to us. We wish both Keyler and Teal a great deal of success both for the remainder of this season, and as they continue on. We are excited to have Garrett in the lineup. He brings a different dimension to our team. He's a solid workhorse and we will count on him to bring a positive influence." said Jim Ingram of the changes.
