Azurdia earns second Gongshow POW nod with six-point week

Langley Rivermen forward Austin Azurdia has been named the Gongshow BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 10, the league announced Monday.

Azurdia posted back-to-back three-point games and helped the Rivermen to two wins in three games. The Wenatchee, Washington native began with a goal and two assists and was named FortisBC Energy Player of the Game in a 7-1 defeat of Coquitlam. He followed that with two goals, including the shorthanded game-winner, and an assist to take 1st Star as Langley knocked off the first-place Victoria Grizzlies 6-3.

It's the second time this season Azurdia has earned the Player of the Week nod and he is now second on the Rivermen in goals with 17 on the season.
