Caps announce coaching hire to take effect after current season's end

The Cowichan Valley Capitals are very pleased to announce the appointment of Bob Beatty as head coach and general manager for the 2013-14 season.

Beatty has been at the helm of the LaRonge Ice Wolves of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for the last nine seasons, winning league championships in 2010 and 2011.

"I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with the rest of the staff, shareholders and stakeholders to build and maintain a team that the community can rally around," said Coach Beatty. "The Cowichan Valley has a reputation of being a great hockey community. I am very pleased to be afforded the chance to enjoy living and working in Duncan and can't wait to get started on a new challenge."

Coach Beatty will assume his duties after the completion of the current season.
