Gouthro to Work with National Sledge Hockey Team

Sydney- Cape Breton Screaming Eagles Goaltending and Video Coach, Scott Gouthro, has been brought on by Hockey Canada as Video Coach with the Men’s National Sledge Hockey Team.

Gouthro, who has worked for the Screaming Eagles organization for the past 8 seasons, will participate with the team during a three game series against the United States from February 14th-16th 2013 in Rockland, Ontario.  The series is in preparation for the World Championships being held in Korea in April 2013.  

This is not Gouthro’s first experience with Hockey Canada.  In 2011 he was a goaltending consultant for Team Canada’s under 18 gold medal winning team in the Ivan Hlinka tournament. He has also spent the past two summers working as part of the Program of Excellence at Hockey Canada’s goaltending camps evaluating potential U18 and U20 goaltenders.
