Lakers’ Christianson named January’s Sportop performer of the month

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced today that Fort Frances Lakers forward Jordan Christianson has been named Sportop performer of the month for January.

In seven contests this past month the 20-year-old Fort Frances standout, who hails from just across the border and the Rainy River in International Falls, Minn., racked up 16 points on five goals and 11 assists.

On the 2012-13 campaign Christianson leads all SIJHL skaters in assists with 37 while sitting third overall offensive production with 54 points in just 38 games.

Since joining the Lakers midway through last season the diminutive five-foot-seven-inch forward has averaged well over a point-per-game with 89 in 71 career outings, including 38 tallies.

Christianson will be recognized at a future game and presented with a gift pack courtesy of Sportop Marketing Inc.
