MINELLO COMMITS TO SACRED HEART

Press Release

Trenton Golden Hawks forward Jordan Minello  has confirmed his commitment to join the Sacred Heart University Pioneers beginning with the 2013-14 Atlantic Hockey season.

The 19-year old native of Sweaburg, Ontario joined the Golden Hawks this season after playing last year with the now-defunct Huntsville Otters.  Prior to playing in the OJHL, the hard-working forward made the jump to junior hockey, joining the Woodstock Renegades Junior 'C' club in 2009-10 out of the Brantford 99ers Minor Midget 'AAA' program.  Following one season of Junior 'C', Minello moved up to the Junior 'B' with the St. Mary's Lincolns before ultimately joining the Otters last year.  During his first year of Junior 'A', Minello used his quick, accurate shot to finish second on the club in scoring with 32 assists and 48 points in 43 games played.  Thus far this season, he has led the Golden Hawks in scoring with 21 goals and 50 points, helping lead the club to being the top-ranked team in the OJHL most of the season, as well as being nationally ranked in the CJHL.

Congratulations to Jordan and best of luck in the playoffs and into his collegiate career!
