SASKATOON BLADES BREAK ATTENDANCE RECORD

Press Release

The Saskatoon Blades are very proud to announce that they have set a new franchise in attendance record for a single game.

The Blades crowd of 12,588 tonight surpasses the previous record set on November 16th, 1990.  That previous record of 12,341 fans stood for nearly 23 years before being broken tonight.

The record comes on a big night for the Saskatoon Blades and their home, the Credit Union Centre.  The game marked the 8th straight win for the Blades as they defeated the Lethbridge Hurricanes.  It also comes on the 25th Anniversary of the Credit Union Centre.  The building opened exactly 25 years ago to the day, as the Saskatoon Blades defeated the Brandon Wheat Kings 4-3 on February 9th, 1988.

The Blades would like to thank all of their fans, sponsors, media and Credit Union Centre's staff and management for making the huge night so successful.
