TC AMERICANS: Sign Prospect Fraser Bulbuc

Press Release

KENNEWICK, WA – Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the club has signed 17-year-old prospect Fraser Bulbuc to a standard WHL Players Contract.

Bulbuc, a 6’0 180-pound forward from Sherwood Park, Alberta, is currently in the midst of his rookie season with the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.  Through 43 games this season, Bulbuc has collected 2 goals and 7 points, along with 127 penalty minutes.  Last season, Bulbuc competed as a member of the Sherwood Park Kings Midget AAA team of the Alberta Midget Hockey League, totaling 8 goals, 14 points and 16 penalty minutes in 25 games.

“Fraser is a good skater, who plays a physical game,” explained Tory.  “We are happy that Fraser and his family have committed to the WHL, and our program, to further his hockey pursuits.”

Bulbuc will join the club on Sunday and stay through Saturday, when the Americans play host to Vancouver, Everett and Edmonton in that span at the Toyota Center.  He will then return to the Crusaders for the remainder of their season and start of the AJHL Playoffs.
