TIGERS TO HOLD MIKE KOSTKA NIGHT

Press Release

The Aurora Tigers will be honouring one of their 2004 RBC Cup champions on Friday, February 15, when they hold Mike Kostka Night as a tribute to the current Toronto Maple Leafs rookie defenceman.

Mike Kostka (pictured at 2004 RBC Cup - photo credit: Matt Manor/Hockey Canada Images) spent three seasons in the OJHL as a member of the Ajax Axement and Aurora Tigers.  The defenceman was a key member of the 2003-04 Tigers club that captured the RBC Cup National Junior 'A' Championship, scoring the championship-winning goal for his team.  After spending four seasons at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, including his senior year as captain, Kostka turned pro and last year he was also a member of the Norfolk Admirals squad, scoring yet another championship-winning goal, this time for the Calder Cup.  After joining the Toronto Marlies this season, Kostka will make his debut as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The first 250 fans entering the game will receive an autographed Mike Kostka hockey card and any fans who brings and donates a non-perishable food item will receive FREE admission to the game, which is a key Divisional match-up versus archrival, the Newmarket Hurricanes.  Game time in Aurora is 7:30pm.
