Jake Guentzel, F, Sioux City Musketeers: For the second consecutive week, the Woodbury, MN native has earned weekly honors after recording six points (2g, 4a) in three games. On Tuesday, he tallied a second-period power play goal and later dished out an assist in Sioux City’s 5-2 loss to the Dubuque Fighting Saints.  He then assisted on a pair of second-period goals, including the would-be game-winner, to help the Musketeers to a 5-3 win over the Tri-City Storm on Friday.  Guentzel put the Musketeers on the board with his 15th goal of the season on Saturday plus added an assist to lead Sioux City to a 3-2 victory against the Des Moines Buccaneers.  The 18-year-old is currently on a six-game point streak, registering 13 points (3g, 10a) over that span.

Ed McGovern, D, Sioux Falls Stampede: The second-year defenseman from Scottsdale, AZ tallied a goal and an assist and had a plus-four on-ice rating over three games played last week.  He netted his third goal of the season mid-way through the second period and then tallied an assist three minutes later to help send the Stampede to a 6-1 win over the Lincoln Stars on Saturday.  He also finished the night with a game high plus-three rating.  Over the three games, McGovern also helped the Stampede successfully kill off 17-of-18 opponent power plays during the week.  The 19-year-old has appeared in all 45 games for the Stampede this season and has produced ten points (3g, 7a), while ranking fourth on the team with a plus-14 rating.

Brendan Jensen, G, Fargo Force: The rookie netminder had a stellar week going 3-0-0 with a 1.95 goals-against-average, and .955 save percentage while stopping 130 total shots.  Monday night in Waterloo, Jensen turned aside a USHL career high 48 shots to lift the Force to a 3-2 win over the Black Hawks.  Friday night saw more of the same as blocked 37, and stopped all three attempts he faced in the shootout, to lead Fargo to a 4-3 shootout win over Waterloo. The El Granada, CA native completed the three-game sweep of the Black Hawks on Saturday by stonewalling 45 shots to lead Fargo to a big 6-1 win.  Jensen has won his last four starts after going winless in his previous three.
